Its been quite a while since I posted. Holiday mood for the past 2 weeks and I'm still in it currently. Got back to office last Friday and actually step into club last Saturday. It's been ages since I went clubbing. As usual, it was packed like sardines and I didn't really enjoy it.



Received the above beautiful bracelet from Mon as a V day gift. It's super nice and I really like it alot. We had a great dinner at scarlet hotel. The salmon that Mon had was superb good. I will like to return for that salmon again. I had this seafood combo which is quite good but not as good as the salmon.

Went to River Hongbao during CNY's eve and happend to realize that Tiger year will be a good year for those born in the year of the horse. Incidentally, both Mon and I are horses. I certainly hope that everything will go smoothly for us in this year ahead.



Just got back office from a company's dinner and I was kinda shocked to hear that alot of my ex colleagues were retrenched and asked to go. Suddenly, I feel so relieved that I did not stayed on back then. Something is really wrong with the management and there was a series of retrenchment going on. I shall not go into details but I'm thankful that I'm having a nice job at the moment.

Oh yeah, 10 million cash prize for tonight's Toto. I bought some numbers and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I need all the luck possible. Hahaha...

It's the first day of the Chinese Lunar new year and I have been sleeping at home for most of the day. As one aged, CNY is really nothing but a traditional custom where there are holidays, ang baos, bak kwa and cashew nuts.

Beside visiting, you practically got no where to go unless there's a gathering at a particular friend's house for steamboat, mahjong or cards. This year, I don't have to do any visiting at all, all the relatives are coming to my house both paternal and maternal side. I simply show my face, exchange greetings, collect ang baos and slid back to my own room when no one notice. Hahaha!!

Went to River Hongbao with Mon last evening and surprisingly, it was packed at all. Parking was incredibly easy as compared to years back. Walked around and one can easily notice that they almost all the stalls are manned by the Chinese from China. Even the performers on stage as well as the emcee are from China. I guess they are just more hardworking than the locals when it comes to big holidays. Had the usual count down with nice fireworks before heading to Marina Square.

Decided to catch a movie super last minute and we actually managed to get a good seat (2nd row from the back) for Lightning Thief 10 minutes before the showtime. Movie was okay though some parts were over exaggerating.

I finally reached home around 4ish and turn in at 5 before mum woke me up at 9. Tired, tired and tired. I wonder what Jaron is doing now. Must be having lotsa fun in Turkey. Super good life he has, last year went to Europe and this year going Middle East. It's been quite awhile since we spent CNY together. Hope he enjoyed himself...

Just got home from a nice steamboat session at Noel's place. The usual gang was there in addition to Noel's ex girlfriend and secondary mates. Food was great and as usual, Noel left out no one in his series of bitchings accompanied with laughter almost every minute.

This week has been really fast. Looking forward to weekend as well as next Thursday. Mon did not managed to clear his TP today but do not lose heart yeah? Stay positive and you will make it in no time. It took me 4 times to get my license. I remembered telling myself that I probably will not make it forever and was almost on the verge of giving up learning how to drive all together when I failed the 3rd time.

Time to shower and sleep. Woke up early this morning... Eh, not really that early but 8:30am considered early for me lah. My daily alarm only sets off at 10am. >.<

Was reading and gathering information for my car servicing on some car forum and came across this incident about a couple who was quarreling with each other at a car park lot because the wife has scratched the husband's car while parking.

I guess when such things happen, one must really keep cool and the worst thing is to trigger a big argument over superficial things. I'm 100% sure the wife didn't mean to scratch the car too. Everyone make mistakes at one point or another. A relationship built up over years may be destroyed within a few seconds if not handled properly.

It's really not worth to ruin a well built relationship over matters which can be resolved especially using money. This reminds me of my previous post where Doctor Randy mentioned "Things can be replaced but not people".

No doubt the car may be expensive, new or had just been given a new coat of paint but ultimately, it will become old and valueless one day due to wear and tear as well as depreciation.

This is something which I realize and learn unfortunately only recently. To those who have yet to realize it, I hope this post helps you in some way too...

I had a hard time trying to start my car this morning. Apparently, it happened once after I got back from my Korea trip in early Dec 09. During that time, dad managed to start the car after "borrowing electricity" from his car battery with the help of the battery cables.

This morning, it happened again but this time round, it actually started after several tries. Knowing that something was amiss, I decide to pay a visit to the nearby workshop at Ubi in the afternoon during my office hour. Once again, I had to try several times before the car started. Drove over and the mechanic confirmed that the battery has reached its life span.

I end up paying $150 to change to a new battery. Well, it's a blessing in a way. At least, it happened before CNY and not during CNY. My regular servicing is due soon. I asked for a quote at the same time and its around $130 for a basic servicing. My car insurance and road tax is due in Apr as well. Guess I need to put aside a huge sum of money just for my car.
