    Life is short

My uncle (Mum's eldest brother) passed away last evening at the age of 60. At times like this, it always make me feel how short life can be. My mum is 57 this year and fortunately, she's still healthy. I can only pray that my parents will remain healthy for as long as possible.

I have been cutting down on ciggs and I'm glad mon has been cutting down too. All of us know smoking is damn harmful to healthy but I guess most of us cannot resist the nicotine urge. It's super hard but not impossible to quit. Perhaps one day, I will really quit for health reasons.

My longest friend of 17 years got married last Sunday. Knew her since I was in secondary 2. She didn't like me at all initially but somehow, we became very close one fine day and before you know it, 17 years have passed and we are still in contact. Really glad to see her in the wedding gown walking down the aisle with her beloved hubby.

DAMN! I'm flying to Korea on the 21st November for work trip once again and 22th is Jaron's birthday. I won't be able to join in the countdown as I will need to be at the airport. Will be coming back on the 03 Dec. I'm really tired of work trips every now and then but too bad, that's part and parcel of my job.

Stay happy everyone coz life is indeed short...

    Short trip to KL

Went over to KL for a short getaway last Thursday and got back on Saturday night. Trip was generally relaxing. Shopping, massage, eating on the day of arrival. Bought a singlet for myself and that's about it. There aren't many things that caught my attention anyway.

Went over to Sunway Lagoon on the second day and spend the entire day there. Took all the amusement rides and went for the Scream park experience where you are led into various rooms with tons of frights and illusions. Love the twillight tunnel where you put on a 3D spec and walk along this wooden bridge with the entire tunnel spinning with lights. It's so damn beautiful and yet giddy.

Oh yeah, I left my wallet with Lincoln before one of the ride and totally forgot about it. End up, I actually thought I lost my wallet when I can't find it while Lincoln went to kayak. I immediately called up all the various banks to cancel every credit card that I brought along with me. The worst thing is Mon's 11B was in my wallet too but thankfully, it's just a big silly mistake on my part. Phew!!

Did some last minute shopping on the last day before we headed back. Bought a year supply of contact lens which is relatively cheaper as compared to buying in Singapore. Eat and eat without exercising at all throughout the trip and yet I realize I lost weight this morning after weighing myself on the scale. Weird and I can't explain why.

It's only the first day of work and I'm already so looking forward to my next trip which will probably be in some time next year.

    New found happiness & unhappiness

I realize I'm getting lazier to update this little blog of mine. I still go work everyday, I still head to the gym twice or thrice a week. Well, nothing much has changed except for one, I'm dating someone currently.

It wasn't planned and I never search or seek for it but somehow it happened. Well, it has always been this way for me since day one. However, it kinda created a series of unhappiness and (I guess) hatred for a handful of people.

For those who have accepted it, thanks for being understanding that such feelings always appear unexpectedly. For those who have not, all I can say is I never wanted to hurt anyone in the process.

I used to question myself if I should go for it and whether is it a right thing for me to pursue at the expense of hurting someone indirectly. People who know me well enough knows that I always placed my friends' above myself. However, I have to make a decision fast. It's either I choose to hurt some friends or hurt this person who likes me.

Ultimately, I made my decision and stand firm by it for a simple reason. Should two person who have feelings for each other not be allowed to be together just because they know there are others around who likes them?

I guess most people will share the same sentiments as me. There are no right or wrong answers. It's a matter of individual's perspective.

Personally, when I realize I start to have feeling for someone, there's no way I will want to hurt that person. Ask yourself, if you really like a person from the bottom of your heart, will you wanna see him happily attached or getting hurt by the person he likes?

With this, I shall end this entry with this quote...

"Our personal happiness should not be based upon the approval of the others."

    A not-so-good entry

Gary has been feeling down lately. I guess it's one of the times where everything seems to go wrong for him. I'm sure all of us have experienced this in one way or another.

I'm glad all of us are around in times like this. I always believe that what goes down will eventually rise up again. That's the beauty of life anyway. I personally have been through shits and I survived so Gary, fret not.. You will survive just like how I did.

A lot of things have been happening out of late and I guess certain things are gonna change inevitably though I really hope it won't.

End of the day, it still goes back to this statement I always believe when it comes to affairs of the heart.

"If it's meant to be, it will be... else, it won't succeed even if you force it"

    and to my dearest Gary,

    Time will heals all wounds!!
It slowly does it's work without you realizing. It's just a matter of time...

    We are always around!!
